About Bev
In a former life, Beverly Creamer worked for almost four decades as a Honolulu newspaper and magazine journalist, covering everything from education and health, to government and lifestyles. She cooked with Aretha Franklin; mourned with Lorna Onizuka after the space shuttle explosion that killed her husband, Ellison; danced with Lawrence Welk; and interviewed Anwar Sadat’s widow, Gloria Steinem, Simon and Garfunkel, and many, many others. She began designing jewelry as a fun project with her two daughters when they were young, but fell in love with the wonder of creating unique wearable art, first with beads they made and later with those she collected.

My necklaces often have a lot of solid glass - or hollow - glass beads, so handling them with TLC is important. Because individual beads may be heavy, lay your necklace in a drawer rather than hanging it which can stress the stringing cord.
Whenever there is silver in your necklace, place the piece in a Ziploc or other plastic bag when it’s not being worn. The plastic shield helps prevent the silver from tarnishing.
Put on perfume before you put on your necklace. The oils, alcohol, and other preservatives in the perfume can slowly and subtly destroy the stringing material if the perfume is sprayed directly on your necklace.

It will have an eclectic selection of beads that include antique beads as well as handmade beads, and newer plastic, bone, carved, and bakelite beads. Heavier beads are mixed with lighter beads to keep your necklace comfortable and not heavy.
